trickform ist wieder da. und alle, die tonAtom wegen angenehm dahinfließender ambient-meisterwerke besuchen, sollten hier ganz schnell zuschlagen.

denn im gegensatz zum x-ten aufguss bekannter und auf der stelle tretender ambient-sampler versinkt trickform nicht in der austauschbaren egalität ausgelutschter ideen, sondern gibt seinen stücken dieses gewisse etwas mit, um zu wunderschönen gedankenausflügen mit unverkennbarem profil und hohem schwelgenden wiedererkennungswert zu gedeihen.

wie schon bei seinem vorherigen tonatom-release verschmelzen dahingleitende melodien inklusive exakt temperierter klangfarben perfekt mit kleinen rhythmusfrickeleien und musikalischer kreativität zu einem derart stimmigen gesamtwerk, sodass sich diese ep zu dem soundtrack für lange winterabende und ähnliche gelegenheiten mehr als aufdrängt. für mich persönlich einer der schönsten releases auf tonatom!

other than the xth reproduction of ambient records that remain static in their repetition of well known elements, trickform is not drowning in replacable and interchangeable over-used ideas but adds "je ne sais quoi" to his tracks. this results in beautiful mindtrips with a distinctive profile and a high recall value.

just as in his previous release on tonAtom flowing melodies (including the exactly chosen colours of sound) and tiny rhythmic structures of vast musical creativity are blended to a coherent work of art, which makes this e.p. the appropriate soundtrack for long winter evenings and similar opportunities. in my opinion this is one of the most beautiful releases on tonAtom.
