tonAtom is a germany-based online-label for netaudio (elektro, ambient and experimental) and netvideo (netaudio music clips and experimental short films). we find and promote new and interesting artists and give an appropriate platform to side-projects of established artists.

tonAtom was founded by matthias reinwarth in march, 2002 and is working as a non-profit alternative to the established label and publishing system. our team provides for the plattform as well as the selection of the artists and their releases thus working towards a continued high quality of our products and an indistinguishable style of the tonAtom label.

tonAtom interfaces with commercial, "old-style" labels, because the offerings and services are clearly complementary. tonAtom will always stay non-profit and non-commercial. especially the work of our a&r-team cannot be influenced, we develop the tonAtom-style independently from possible partnerships.

tonAtom ist not "yet another mp3-portal". we understand that conducting an online label such as this means searching and promoting promising artists apart from mass platforms and the classical media. tonAtom means quality und originality. the newly added netvideo offerings show the holistic approach in both acoustic and visual arts.

tonAtom features on a non-profit basis complete cd/ep-releases through the tonAtom website. doing this we create an own alternative culture for elektro/ambient/experimental record releases.
