die beschäftigung mit elektronischer musik seit mehr als 25 jahren (allerdings mit unterbrechungen) und eine pop-musikalische sozialisation seit den 80ern haben matthias reinwarth (a.k.a. xenoton) zu einem aktiven musiker und promoter für intelligente elektronik in deutschland gemacht. neben der arbeit für das online label tonAtom publiziert er seit 1998 unter dem namen "xenoton" electronicals zwischen ambient, elektro und minimal und hat sich seinen eigenen stil geschaffen. seine arbeit ist heute geprägt von dem spagat zwischen aktueller elektronischer musik, den heroen der pop-elektronik und der expressionistischen aufbruchstimmung der neuen musik zwischen 1900 und 1950.

working with electronic music for more than 25 years (with some interruptions, though) and an intense (pop-)musical socialisation since the early 80s have turned matthias reinwarth (a.k.a. xenoton) into an active electronic musician and independent music publisher in germany. apart from his work for the online label tonAtom he is publishing electronic music between ambient, electro and minimal (using the project name "xenoton") since 1998. having created his own special style, his work is today influenced by the current electronica, the heroes of electronic pop history and the expressionist atmosphere of departure of the contemporary music between 1900 and 1950.
