angefangen hat alles 1997 mit einer super 8 kamera und dem dazugehörigen filmkurs im filmhaus frankfurt: eine anzeige in einer zeitung (s8 kurs mit dem frankfurter künstler roland krüger), ein telefonat, eine anmeldung und schon ging`s los. fasziniert von dem vorhaben, mit drei minuten filmmaterial meine filmidee zu verwirklichen, legte ich die kamera kaum noch zur seite. aber ganz ohne schneiden und kleben ging das dann doch nicht. und immer das warten auf die entwicklung, das zog sich halt alles so in die länge.

jetzt - sieben jahre später - hat es mich ein zweites mal gepackt und ich habe (wider erwarten) spass daran gefunden, die super 8 kamera gegen eine dv-kamera und die klebepresse gegen einen lappy samt videoeditor auszutauschen: keine klebestreifen, keine filmfressenden projektoren usw. jetzt faszinieren mich vor allem die endlos vielen möglichkeiten, die die digitale aufzeichnung und nachbearbeitung mit sich bringen..

als tonatom anhängerin der ersten stunde war mir nach dem umstieg schnell klar, dass ich den atomen ein paar videos zu ihrer tollen, vielseitigen musik machen wollte!

gesagt getan.

und sonst? neben dem filmen tanze ich seit über 20 Jahren in/mit einer kreativtanzgruppe, oftmals zu tracks von alcyon, elektr@ *wink*, aljen und und und...

seit drei Jahren nehme ich gesangunterricht, was mir immer mehr spaß macht, ja und malen tue ich wenn ich in der richtigen Stimmung bin auch; ganz nebenbei bin ich sonderschullehrerin. jetzt reichts aber.

it all began in 1997 with a super 8 camera and the accompanying film course in the film house frankfurt. an announcement in a newspaper (s8 course with the frankfurt artist roland krueger), a telephone call, a registration and that's how it started. fascinated by the task to convey my ideas with having only three minutes playing time I hardly could put the camera aside. but then there was this cutting and reassembling. and this waiting time for the developed films which made everything so lengthy.

recently - seven years on - it caught me a second time and (unexpectedly) I enjoy exchanging the super 8 camera with a dv-camera and swapping the splicer against a notebook based video editing system: no more adhesive strips, no film-eating projectors and so on. so I am fascinated by the neverending possibilities that come with digital recording and postprocessing...

being a tonatom devotee from the very start, I decided soon after this system change that I would like to create some video clips for the "atoms" and their great versatile music.

and said and done.

what else ? well, for more than 20 years I have been (and still am) dancing with a creative dancing chorus, often to music by alcyon, elektr@ *wink*, aljen and and and....

I am taking vocal lessons for three years now which is more and more fun now. and I like to paint, when I am in the right mood. and finally I am a teacher in a school for handicapped children. hey - and this should be enough now.
